Fellowship Benefits
ISI Abroad recruits Fellows from its alumni network and offers training to prepare you for the various projects you could encounter. Fellows develop a variety of skillsets including those that can prepare them for future roles in:
Recruitment
Communication
Public Relations
Event Planning
Product Operations
Project Management
Sales Development
Business Development
And Much More!
Through the Fellowship you will be able to connect with ISI Abroad alums from other programs and semesters, access periodic training and insight from professionals in fields related to your work, build a deeper relationship with your home university campus, and develop Career Readiness skills advised through NACE! Not to mention you’ll have an opportunity to mentor other students in ways that make them better equipped to enjoy a successful and engaging study abroad experience.

What is Expected of ISI Abroad Fellows?
To apply, you must have completed an ISI Abroad program in good academic and disciplinary standing. You must also demonstrate enthusiasm for international education alongside strong communication skills. Members of this alumni network can then complete compensated, project-based work that is designed to help support future ISI Abroad students.
Most individual projects take only a few hours to complete (ex. Attending your university’s study abroad fair on behalf of ISI Abroad) but others can be more continuous (ex. Supporting your study abroad office’s outreach or helping create consistent alumni social media content). Before you begin each project, your supervisor will preapprove your compensation and expected hours, alongside other project parameters. This helps you set clear expectations for the project and manage your time around other commitments you may have on campus.
